Balancing challenge and support

Подробнее о выступлении
Every teacher strives to create an effective and engaging learning environment where all students can succeed. But how do we maintain the flow of the class when student motivation, readiness, and pace of learning vary so widely?
In this session we will briefly explore the key theories that inform this balance — including the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and "Affect and Flow" — before moving to their direct application in your classroom. The focus is on a range of practical strategies and flexible scaffolding techniques you can use immediately to balance the right level of challenge with the right level of support for each student, keeping your whole class on track.
